From Purpose to Impact: Rooted. Ready. Rising.
Welcome to the Raleigh-Durham Chapter—where purpose is planted, leadership is cultivated, and impact is in full bloom.
As Chapter President, I am honored to lead during this pivotal season of growth and grounding. We are a young chapter with a bold vision—to deepen our roots in sisterhood and rise in meaningful service to Wake and Durham counties.
Our theme for this biennium, “From Purpose to Impact: Rooted. Ready. Rising.”, reflects both who we are and what we are called to do. We are rooted in our values, ready to lead with intention, and rising to meet the needs of our communities with courage and care.
I am reminded of the words of the incomparable Shirley Chisholm, who said:
“Service is the rent we pay for the privilege of living on this earth.”
Her wisdom is our reminder that service is not optional—it is our obligation, our legacy, and our purpose.
In this chapter, we believe that sisterhood is a source of power, that visibility is a form of advocacy, and that partnerships are the key to lasting impact. Whether we are mentoring youth, addressing health disparities, or simply showing up for one another, we do it all with the heart of Las Amigas and the hope of a stronger tomorrow.
Thank you for visiting. I invite you to learn more about our work, partner with us, and walk beside us as we grow.
In Purpose and Power,
Hattie E. Grier
President, Raleigh-Durham Chapter
